T-minus 4 days…

With mass bottled water extraction, toxins in our waterways and taps, pollution threats from major industry, a access, affordability, and so much more…our waters are connected like the issues we are battling amongst our communities.

As members of the People’s Water Board Coalition, we are proud to invite you to the annual World Water Day activities, here in Michigan!

Join us and friends in Lansing on March 22, 2023, for World Water Day!

Each year we gather leaders and community members from across the state to join forces in advocating for water protections.

New representatives and the strong ongoing leadership of Sen. Stephanie Chang (District 3 - Detroit) and Sen. Rosemary Bayer (District 13 - Oakland Co) are coordinating MI WWD efforts as we work with national partners like NRDC, Clean Water Action, Michigan Poor People's Campaign, and Sierra Club to improve our bills and build wider support for affordability, data transparency, shutoff protections, rate transparency, human rights, and more.

Folks will gather in Lansing on Wednesday, March 22nd from 9 am-2 pm where there will be:

- A rally with likeminded water protectors
- Opportunity to hear impacted residents' testimonials from a variety of Michigan cities
- Youth and art activities
- The chance to visit the offices of elected representatives to build awareness of and support water bills crafted by leaders from impacted communities

Once registered, you will receive a program and more details about the event itinerary, transportation, meals, and more.
